Members of the Annapolis school board consist of current and past parents and grandparents, alumni and interested community members who are passionate about the mission of the academy and committed to ensuring its prosperous future.  The Annapolis board works closely with the Heads of School to provide the necessary resources for the school to fulfill its mission and engages in long term strategic planning to ensure a prosperous future.

About Our Board Members

Rob George (President)
Rob is Jan’s husband, and they have three children: Lucy (8th), Clarey(6th), and Tres (3rd).  He is an active member of City Church and Attorney at Liles White PLLC.  Rob earned his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University and enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, reading South Texas History, podcasting, and promoting Corpus Christi.  He is also President of the Rise School of Corpus Christi, a fully inclusive preschool for children of all abilities.  Rob has been intrigued by classical Christian education since law school, and his and Jan’s desire to enroll their children at Annapolis was one of the primary motivators in their decision to relocate to Corpus Christi.  Rob has served on the board since 2016.
 
Kimberly DeVisser (Vice President)
Growing up in Honolulu Hawaii; Kimberly served four years active duty, six years reserve and one deployment in the United States Navy.  Earned a BA in business with a focus on marketing from Texas A&M- Corpus Christi while working full time.  She is currently a part time development coordinator for the  Del Mar College Foundation, a Corpus Christi Campus coordinator for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health and administrator for the Texas Association for Community College Foundation. She currently serves on The Corpus Christi First United Methodist Church Foundation, Inc., and volunteers as a peer leader for Women Veterans Network (WoVeN).  Of all these roles, the most treasured is wife to her best friend Jim DeVisser, who is a battalion chief for Corpus Christi Fire Department.   Step-mother to her chosen son and daughter Sophia, Nathan and full time mother to her God given surviving and thriving children Kekoa (4th) and Kailani (5th).
 
Lane Pepper (Treasurer)
Lane has been married to Paula for 16 years and is the father of Lance (10th) and Layton (7th).  He is highly involved at City Church, where he serves as a deacon, and is employed as Chief Risk Officer at Texas Farm Credit.  Lane graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Financial Management and earned an MBA with Finance concentration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  He has also received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.  Lane enjoys playing sports with his boys, hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.  Lane believes that raising children into thoughtful young adults with a distinctively Christian worldview is the duty of all Christian parents.  Lane has served on the ACA board since 2016.
 
Luis Cabrera (Secretary)
Luis is originally from Guatemala in Central America. He graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with his BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. Luis is a bi-vocational Pastor where he serves with his wife Alejandra at Hope Church Corpus Christi. He is also the Head of Human Resources at Voestalpine Texas, and has earned his Professional Human Resources (PHR) and Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designations. Luis is involved in various boards and organizations in Corpus Christi. Luis enjoys spending time hiking, camping, & travelling, but his favorite thing to do is to spend time with his wife and together raise their three beautiful daughters, Emma (5th), Cecilia (10th), and Elena.
 
Natalie O’Roark
Natalie has been married to Charles for 16 years, and together they have one daughter, Ava (9th).  Natalie and Charles are native Houstonians and made Rockport, Texas their home in 2020 after touring Annapolis and learning about Classical Christian Education.  Natalie earned a BBA in marketing from the University of Houston and has been in the nonprofit healthcare industry for nearly 20 years.  For the past 10 years, she has served as the Executive Director of Texas Oncology Foundation where she is responsible for operational management, program development and implementation, and financial management including all fundraising efforts.  The O’Roarks are active members at Coast Oaks Church where Natalie serves as a ministry leader for the Missions team.  Natalie enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, fishing, traveling, and serving ministries that further His Kingdom.
