Members of the Annapolis school board consist of current and past parents and grandparents, alumni and interested community members who are passionate about the mission of the academy and committed to ensuring its prosperous future. The Annapolis board works closely with the Heads of School to provide the necessary resources for the school to fulfill its mission and engages in long term strategic planning to ensure a prosperous future.

About Our Board Members
Kent Oliver (President)
This is Kent’s sixth year serving on the Board of Trustees, becoming President a few months after joining. He has remained in that position ever since. For the 2018-19 school year, Kent stepped up and served admirably as volunteer Interim Head of School, while also fulfilling his Board President responsibilities. Kent is married to Jana and has three children: Hannah (8th), Levi (7th grade but ill and not attending ACA), and Eli (6th). Kent graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and currently serves as the Complex II (Utilities) Manager at the Valero Bill Greehey Refineries. He is an active member of City Church, serves on its board, and enjoys time with family. Kent also serves as chairman of the school’s Building and Grounds Committee, where his project management skills have proven extremely valuable. Kent’s primary goal when joining the Board years ago was to help with the campus expansion.
Kimberly DeVisser (Vice President)
Growing up in Honolulu Hawaii; Kimberly served four years active duty, six years reserve and one deployment in the United States Navy. Earned a BA in business with a focus on marketing from Texas A&M- Corpus Christi while working full time. She has spent her career in the professional recruiting industry, retail management and non-profit development. Her current “outside of the home” employee includes development researcher for the Del Mar College Foundation, Corpus Christi Campus coordinator for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health and administrator for the Texas Association for Community College Foundation.
A graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi class 33 and of Texas Leadership 16. Kimberly was nominated Corpus Christi 40 under 40 in 2012. She has served on the board of American Fundraisers Professional Corpus Christi Chapter, Leadership Corpus Christi Alumni Association, Vinson Morris Child Center and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Alumni Association. She currently serves on The Corpus Christi First United Methodist Church Foundation, Inc., and volunteers as a peer leader for Women Veterans Network (WoVeN). Of all these roles, the most treasured is wife (15 years and counting) to her best friend Jim DeVisser, who is a battalion chief for Corpus Christi Fire Department. Step-mother to her chosen son and daughter Sophia (21), Nathan (25) and full time mother to her God given surviving and thriving kiddos Kekoa(7) and Kailani (7).
Lane Pepper (Treasurer)
Lane is married to Paula and is the father of Lance (6th) and Layton (3rd). He is an active member of City Church and serves on its board. Lane is Chief Risk Officer at Texas Farm Credit. He graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Financial Management and earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2016, Lane was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He enjoys coaching and assisting with his boys’ sports, most outdoor activities, and investments. Lane is convinced that raising children into thoughtful young adults with a distinctively Christian worldview is the duty of all Christian parents. Lane has served on the ACA board since 2016.
Rob George (Secretary)
Rob is married to Jan and they have three children: Lucy (3rd), Clary (2nd) and Tres (Rise School pre-school). He is an active member of City Church and Associate Attorney at Liles White PLLC. Rob earned his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University and enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, reading South Texas History, helping startup companies, and promoting entrepreneurism. He is also President of the Rise School of Corpus Christi and serves on the board of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center. Rob has been intrigued by classical Christian education since law school and his desire to enroll his kids at Annapolis was one of the primary motivators in his decision to relocate to Corpus Christi. Rob has served on the board since 2016.
Jim is married to Krista and is the father of 4 daughters (Caroline, Catherine, Elizabeth and Lillian). He is an active member of City Church. Jim is the Chief Financial Officer at Orion Drilling Company. He has a BA in Economics from Wheaton College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Jim and his family moved to Corpus Christi in 2016. Jim enjoys spending time with his family – at the beach, in the gym or travels far and near. Jim also serves on the Finance Subcommittee at ACA. Jim is a firm believer in both Classical and Christian education and wants to see Annapolis Christian Academy continue to prepare the next generation of leaders armed with servant hearts and strong minds.
