Dear ACA Families,
What is happening in our world today is unprecedented for our generation. The rapidly spreading COVID-19 virus has continued to infect large numbers of people throughout the world, wreaking havoc on economies and lives. While a number of methods for limiting the spread of the virus have been suggested, most health agencies agree that the best way to decrease the number infected with COVID-19 is through social distancing. This remains a challenge in public spaces and has resulted in the recommendation to limit groups to 10 or less.
Concerning School Closure and Teacher Instruction
Due to the updated mandate by Governor Greg Abbott for the State of Texas, we will suspend in-person classes at Annapolis Christian Academy until April 3rd. ACA teachers will continue to provide distance learning opportunities for students so they may continue with their school work for the next few weeks. They will also be available for any questions you may have.
Office Hours, Spring Break and Activities
The school office will remain open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until April 3rd. Any questions not pertaining to particular assignments can still be directed to the office along with any tuition payments you wish to make. Per the school calendar, Spring Break will still be April 6th – 13th. The office will be closed during that week and classes will resume on April 14th.
We are planning to postpone as many school events as possible however, some field trips, athletic events, and other activities could be canceled. Please continue to watch this page as we will post event notifications.
Please know that this is not a decision that was made lightly. We believe that our ultimate authority when seeking wisdom is Jesus Christ. His word continues to guide us and we know that nothing is a surprise to Him. He works all things together for the good of those who love Him! However, we know that this is a challenging situation for all of our families. We are here for you and praying for you. Please continue to pray for us as this is not the final decision we wanted to make but, our overall goal is to ensure the health and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and families.
We appreciate the sacrifices you are making and value your partnering with us through this trying time. The ACA Admin Team will update you as we go along.
