Annapolis Welcomes New Guidance Counselor

Annapolis is proud to welcome the newest member of the team, Mrs. Joanne Bielecki, who has been hired to oversee Annapolis’ 7th – 12th Grade guidance programs.  JoAnne was born and raised in New Britain, CT and attended the University of Connecticut. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Hospital and obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2004. Since then, JoAnne has worked as a caseworker for ten years and as a school psychologist for an additional two.

JoAnne is married to Major Michael Murphy and together they have two daughters, Elliot and Annabel. The Murphys love to travel and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and biking. They are a military family who has relocated frequently therefore selecting a school with a caring and nurturing Christian environment was their priority.  JoAnne states:

We are a military family who has had to relocate frequently.  We were delighted to find a school like Annapolis with its intellectually stimulating environment, dedicated teachers, and family-friendly community.”

JoAnne is very excited to be Annapolis’ Guidance Counselor. She is strongly committed to the overall wellbeing and support of children and adolescents and looks forward to encouraging the students to aspire greatly, to choose colleges wisely, and to help them reach their God given potential.
